Shore Line Clean Up

Coastal Cleanup volunteersThe Florida Coastal Cleanup is one of the most important activities in keeping out shore lines clean and stable for generations. On various days of the year, volunteers from across the globe helping to keep their marine environment clean. Many Florida Coastal Cleanup take place and the efforts and supported by locally by private citizens, local government and private industry.

Statewide, thousands of volunteers spend their morning collecting millions of pounds of litter and debris on inland roadsides, coastal areas, inland lakes and rivers. Various organizations assist volunteers are a part of this statewide effort to clean and protect the environment by eliminating debris that injures wildlife, contaminates our beaches and waterways, and threatens boater safety. Local volunteers are needed to join this effort and by recording results on our data cards you can be part of a scientific study of solid waste issues.
